Environmental Awareness Awards
Our precious natural resources are the foundation of the well being of all Texans, and the League’s Environmental Awareness Award is your opportunity to seek recognition for those who have done the most to protect, preserve and promote them.
We presented the awards at the EAA Luncheon at the League convention on April 5 in Ft. Worth with keynote speaker, Dr. Becky Richards, Professor, Environmental Science Dept., Texas Christian University, and President of Environmental Trainers, Inc. Awards were given in several categories including individual, non-profit organization, corporate/business, media, and government. Proceeds from the luncheon support LWV-TEF.
In addition, the League has partnered with National Environmental Education Week (eeweek.org) and will be making an official announcement promoting National Environmental Education Week.
