Michelle Hoefler, Jam Broadcasting | Published on 11/4/2021

Election Day is Tuesday, November 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and registered voters will be deciding on 8 propositions, ranging from issues regarding religious freedom, gambling and exemptions for spouses of veterans. Videos are available on each of the 8 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution that explain the proposition and the pros and cons at: https://my.lwv.org/texas.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan civic organization which encourages informed and active participation in government by citizens. Citizens can view printed copies of Voter Guides at local libraries and also visit VOTE411.org.

Voters need to bring with them a photo ID to their respective polling location, and curbside voting is available. Individuals must vote in the precinct assigned to them as stated on their Voter Registration Card.

According to Kerr County Tax Assessor-Collector Bob Reeves, amendment elections typically experience lower voter turnout than in presidential election years. Kerr County will be combining several precincts for efficiency reasons as well as to save on election costs.

Precincts 101, 107, 109, 113, 118 and 119 will all cast their ballots at the River Hills Mall, 200 Sidney Baker Street, in Kerrville.

Precincts 202, 211, 215 and 220 will vote at Union Church, 101 Travis Street, in Kerrville.

Precinct 3 will consist of precincts 303, 308, 312 and 314. These voters will need to go to the Cailloux Center, 910 Main Street.
