1. Digital Communications Associate

Do you enjoy using social media and other digital tools to engage people?


The League of Women Voters of Texas seeks a Digital Communications Associate to help get our trusted analysis and information in front of the right audiences. Voting rights are under attack, and the new rules and requirements for voting in Texas are complex. 


The Digital Communications Associate will use social media, video, email and other tools to make sure Texas voters have the information they need to participate in our democracy.


The ideal candidate has a background in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing, and brings a range of digital skills to their outreach and engagement efforts. Applicants will eventually need to be based in Central Texas, though staff are currently working primarily remotely at this stage of the coronavirus pandemic.

2.  Administrative Associate

The ideal candidate for this position has experience with data entry and management as well as a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Experience with development support is a plus. This position is 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule that includes working virtually and in the office at least 10 hours/week. You will be joining a staff of two full-time employees and 12 very active volunteer board members. There is potential for this position to add hours in the next year. You will be tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. You will discover efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the membership, media, and donor databases.
  • Create, maintain, and execute queries and reports that track membership and fundraising progress - weekly and monthly.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate gift entry and acknowledgments.
  • Oversee third-party giving platforms and ensure prompt gift processing and acknowledgment.
  • Maintain and produce lists and reports for fundraising appeals, newsletters, and events.
  • Administer online office virtual phone system and hardware (RingCentral), Google Workspace, and Zoom account.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Hourly Salary: $17 to start. Increase at 6 months with evaluation. Vacation & Holidays: 9 paid holidays at a half-time rate of 4 hours/holiday and paid vacation schedule starts accruing from the date of hire.
