The Texas House is meeting TODAY, Saturday, May 20th, and on the top of the agenda are three important election bills.
In addition to SB 1070 and SB 1933, which we emailed you about yesterday, the House is also voting on SB 1750, which would abolish the Election Administrator position in Harris County.
This bill is aimed at punishing Harris County for problems in the 2022 election. It solves nothing and stands to create more problems by transferring the duties for administering the 2024 election to the County Clerk.

On a happier note, the House will also consider SB 477, which would make voting more accessible for voters with mobility issues by giving them priority at the polls and for any voter needing curbside assistance.
