Early voting began Monday, October 20 and continues through Friday, October 31 in the November 4 election. Among the decisions voters will tackle are nineteen proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution.

The League of Women Voters of Texas has published a Guide to Voters which provides the text of each of the proposed 17 Constitutional Amendments, along with a simple explanation of what it means and brief arguments both for and against each proposition.

To help inform your vote you may access one of digital versions of the Voters Guide in both English and Spanish online at https://alwv.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=30364&module_id=562715

The League of Women Voters of Texas has also created explainer videos about each of the proposed amendments.  You can find those videos here:

Copies of the Voters Guide are being made available by the Amarillo League of Women Voters. Your contributions are always welcome, and can be donated online at alwv.clubexpress.com, or mailed to the League of Women Voters, PO Box 19333, Amarillo, TX 79114.

In Canadian, voters may pick up a printout of the Guide upon request at The Canadian Record office (211 Main St., Canadian). Please call 806.570.3033 in advance to ensure a copy is available. Your donation to cover the cost of printing is welcome but not required, and will be sent to the Amarillo League of Women Voters.
